The Security Clearance Department aims to provide an integrated system for managing security clearances based on speed, accuracy, and confidentiality, ensuring full compliance with security policies and procedures. This is achieved through the use of best practices, modern technologies, and coordination with the relevant authorities. The department is administratively linked to the University President as an office according to the organizational structure.
The department consists of four divisions:
- Security Clearances Division
- Information Division
- Safety and Security Division
- Incoming and Outgoing Division
Main Tasks:
- Organizing and managing the issuance of security clearances for individuals, vehicles, and equipment in accordance with approved regulations.
- Enhancing preventive security by verifying the background of clearance applicants in coordination with the relevant security authorities.
- Minimizing security risks by monitoring the use of security clearances and ensuring they are not misused.
- Developing clearance issuance procedures through smart electronic systems that facilitate tracking and auditing.
- Raising security awareness among clearance beneficiaries through awareness and training programs.
- Ensuring confidentiality and privacy in storing and processing clearance information.
The department continues to issue security clearances for administrative appointees, transferred and newly appointed staff, seconded personnel, and all employees in the university, as well as companies, organizations, and institutions contracted with the university, in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and instructions.
