College of Medicine Organizes Voluntary Vision Screening Campaign for School Students in Al-Bu Shijil Area
The College of Medicine at the University of Fallujah organized a voluntary campaign in coordination with the Al-Bu Shijil Primary Health Center, affiliated with the Primary Health Care Sector in Fallujah, targeting visits to several schools to conduct vision screening for students.
The Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Rafea Allawi Fayyad, participated in the implementation of the campaign, leading a team that included a number of faculty members, in addition to fifth-year students, in a step that reflects the integration of academic and field efforts in serving the community.
The campaign included vision examinations for more than (100) male and female students suffering from vision problems, where the causes of visual impairment were diagnosed and appropriate medical recommendations and treatment procedures were provided for each case.
This campaign comes as part of a series of community activities through which the University of Fallujah seeks to enhance its role in serving society and supporting the Sustainable Development Goals.
