1.School Nutrition Program
• Planning and implementation of the National School Nutrition Program
v Years: 2019–2020, 2020–2021, 2021–2022, 2022–2023, 2023–2024.
v Role: Member of the Supreme and Technical Committees (former).
v Tasks: Supervised the training of school administrations on program implementation for the years 2020–2021 to 2023–2024.
• Participation in Training Workshops:
v Supply Chain Workshops in collaboration with the World Food Program (WFP).
v Behavioral Modification Workshops in collaboration with the WFP.
• Policy Development Contributions:
v Member of the team that developed the National Policy on School Nutrition.
v Contributed to Iraq’s integration into the International School Nutrition Alliance.
v Responded to the International School Nutrition Survey.
v Conducted a study on the impact of school nutrition programs on attendance discipline and cognitive, motor, and economic indicators among students aged 6–12, based on feedback from teachers and parents.
• Ministerial Representation:
v Represented the Ministry in developing Iraq’s National Nutrition Strategy (2024–2030) in collaboration with the Ministry of Health.
v Participated in a knowledge exchange visit to Armenia to explore school nutrition program implementation
4. Key Achievements
v Developed studies and initiatives such as “Green Schools Initiative,” “Energy ISO Plan,” and the “Environmental Improvement and Protection Strategy 2023–2030.”
v Coordinated the distribution of over 5,000 saplings in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture.
v Trained school supervisors and biology teachers under various programmes.
v Scientific reviewer for research at the Studies and Research Center.
