First: Establishment:
The Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations was established on July 1, 2015.

Second: Tasks and Duties:

  • Communicating with embassies and cultural attachés to obtain support in the field of scholarships and cultural relations.
  • Obtaining membership in the Association of Arab Universities to facilitate cultural and student exchange, as well as the exchange of experiences, visits, and conferences.
  • Following up on the activities of international scientific centers to secure scholarships and fellowships for university students.
  • Preparing memorandums of understanding (MoUs) for scientific and cultural cooperation ready for signing with some Arab and international universities and research centers.
  • Completing the transactions of students studying outside Iraq and following up on their affairs.
