Department of Engineering Projects
This department is one of the directorates of the University Presidency and is affiliated with the Office of the Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs.
Department Tasks
- Implementing investment plan projects and following up on the financial allocations for projects within the investment plan.
- Supervising and monitoring the workflow of investment plan projects and Regional Development projects.
- Following up on projects and auditing progress percentages.
- Preparing monthly progress reports for projects under implementation.
- Conducting field visits to projects belonging to the university’s formations.
- Preparing bills of quantities (BOQs) and drawings for certain engineering projects, and auditing BOQs and drawings submitted by university formations prior to their approval within project plans.
- Preparing feasibility studies for investment plan projects according to required investment standards and Ministry guidelines.
- Submitting periodic reports to the Follow-up Department at the Directorate of Reconstruction and Projects, and providing opinions on projects under implementation.
- Coordinating with consulting offices during the design preparation stage and providing them with the necessary information and requirements.

Achievements
Completion of the Female Students’ Dormitory Complex, the Technical Workshop Building, and the Warehouse Building in the university campus. In addition, the project of the fence and main gate of the College of Agriculture has been completed, while work continues on the remaining projects with steadily increasing progress rates.
