College of Medicine Organizes Awareness Seminar on Negative Phenomena and Their Impact on Society in Cooperation with Community Police
Under the patronage of the President of the University of Fallujah, Professor Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Hamad, the College of Medicine, in cooperation with the Community Police Department in Anbar Governorate, held an awareness seminar entitled: “Negative Phenomena and Their Impact on the University Community”, with the participation of a number of faculty members and students.
The seminar addressed the most prominent negative phenomena affecting youth and students, including drug abuse and psychotropic substances, cyber extortion, suicide, harassment, intellectual extremism, as well as sorcery and witchcraft. The discussion highlighted the serious repercussions of these issues on individuals and society, particularly within the university environment.
The seminar also presented a set of recommendations and practical approaches aimed at reducing the spread of these phenomena, through raising community awareness and strengthening the role of educational and security institutions in prevention and guidance.
This initiative comes as part of the University of Fallujah’s ongoing efforts to promote positive values within the educational environment, enhance student awareness, protect them from behavioral and intellectual risks, and foster a safe and healthy university atmosphere.
