Anbar Governor Conducts a Field Visit to the University of Fallujah

The Governor of Anbar, Engineer Omar Mishaan Dabbous, conducted a field visit on Monday, February 9, 2026, to the site of the new university campus of the University of Fallujah. He was received by the President of the University of Fallujah, Professor Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Hamad, in the presence of the Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Suleiman Barak Al-Jumaili, and the Director of the Department of Construction and Projects, Assist. Prof. Dr. Suleiman Nayef Ahmed, along with the engineering and technical staff.

During the visit, the President of the University accompanied the Governor on a tour that included a number of university facilities and projects currently under construction, in order to review the progress of the university’s urban development, assess completion rates, and identify future requirements necessary to support and develop infrastructure.

Throughout the visit, the President of the University delivered a detailed briefing on the construction projects being implemented by the University and funded by the Governorate, in addition to future plans aimed at developing the higher education system in a manner that serves the people of Anbar Governorate and other provinces. He also highlighted the challenges facing the implementation of some projects, particularly those related to securing the necessary financial allocations to complete construction projects according to the specified timelines.

For his part, the Governor of Anbar praised the academic structure of the University of Fallujah and the efforts exerted to enhance the educational process and develop the capacities of staff and students, in line with labor market requirements and societal needs. He emphasized the local government’s commitment to providing full support to the University of Fallujah and working to overcome all obstacles hindering the development of its infrastructure and academic programs, commending the vital role played by the University in advancing academic standards and offering educational programs that keep pace with scientific progress at both the local and international levels.
