University of Fallujah Participates in the Iraq Education Exhibition and Conference 2023
On the second day of the Iraq Education Exhibition and Conference 2023, Professor Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Hamad, Assistant President of the University of Fallujah for Scientific Affairs, alongside A.M.D. Muhannad Khalifa Obaid, Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, and Prof. Hadeel Muhammad Fayyad, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, participated in the conference organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Baghdad.
The conference aimed at stimulating scientific research, enhancing research publication, and supporting local journals, while also promoting international partnerships and their impact on universities. Several important recommendations emerged from the discussions, including:
- Encouraging Iraqi researchers to publish in local journals, which are recognized for their scientific rigor and have the potential for inclusion in international collections.
- Focusing on increasing citations in Iraqi Scientific Journals (IASJ) and utilizing foreign expertise to support publications in renowned international journals.
- Promoting joint publications between Iraqi scholars and international researchers to improve the global visibility of local journals in databases such as Scopus and Clarivate.
The event, which was inaugurated on September 16, was held under the patronage of Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The conference saw wide participation from both Arab and international academic communities, further fostering the exchange of ideas and academic collaboration.
