Engineering Consulting Office (ECO)

         The ECO specializes in providing consulting services in various engineering fields including but not limited to civil, mechanical, electrical and chemical arenas, in addition to other engineering disciplines.

      The ECO personnel also conducts structural evaluation services of damaged buildings and provide solutions and guidance to address problems by specialized professors in field of engineering sciences. The ECO aims to collaborate with governmental departments and the private sector to contribute to the reconstruction of our country and Anbar province, in line with the requirements of the current situation and the required technical specifications, ensuring that UF plays an optimal role in rebuilding the surrounding community.

Vision

        The ECO seeks to liaise with the business sector and achieve leadership in engineering consulting services, entering the field of professional competition to acquire experience and training opportunities.

Mission:

            The ECO strives for the skill enhancement of university personnel and the acquisition of scientific experiences provided by the business sector.

ECO Objectives:

1. Contribute to the development and reconstruction of war-torn Fallujah city, especially Anbar province, after years of war and destruction that affected its infrastructure, service facilities, industrial and commercial installments, by utilizing the services of a consulting office that contributes to the implementation and supervision of the rebuilding and post-rebuilding phase.
2. Develop the instructors and technicians skillset  through integrating their academic expertise with practical and consulting aspects, exchanging experiences with other offices, whether inside or abroad.
3. Oversee the implementation of university projects and public and private sector buildings according to set schedules and the highest quality standards as per technical specifications.
4. Strengthen the liaison among the university, academic research, and the community.
5. Transfer academic and research skills and applying them in the field of work within projects supervised by the consulting office.
6. Develop engineering competencies in various sectors of the state through professional practice and providing specialized technical support and expertise in various fields.
7. Contribute to improving the practice of the engineering profession and its methodologies in Iraq, whether in the fields of oil, transportation, industry, or telecommunications in all its forms.
8. Create opportunities for guaranteed economic and social revenues for the university that can contribute to the reconstruction of UF damaged buildings.
9. Provide awareness studies that can create job opportunities for the workforce in Fallujah and Anbar province, especially for recent alumni or experienced individuals who are job seekers, to harness their experiences in various fields.

• Preparation of integrated designs for engineering projects.
• Provision of engineering consulting services and general engineering supervision.
• Design reviews.
• Site and laboratory inspections.
• Preparation of soil investigation reports.
• Preparation of eco impact reports for various projects.
• Preparation of comprehensive quality management studies and value engineering system.
• Preparation of BoQs and cost estimates.
• Preparation of specifications reports and quality control (QC).
