Department of Dorms Affairs

 The Department of Dorms Affairs was founded on February 15, 2015, days following the UF founding. The department is mandated to offer quality accommodation to students and help thrive in education.


 Duties and Responsibilities  

  1. Office of Legal and Administrative Affairs: This office staff is responsible for implementing the UF/MOHESR laws and instructions. It also handles administrative tasks such as monitoring inbox/outbox mail. It also prepares databases and electronic archiving, supervising the entry and exit of materials to and from storage facilities, as well as overseeing the department furniture and consumables, preparing financial data, lists, financial records, recording and conduct the due expenses and revenues tabulation.
  2. Office of Student Housing: the office staff is mandated to receive and accommodate  students,  issuing permanent and temporary housing orders, issuing students annual clearance statements     It also releases  special  IDs for accommodated students and monitor the work of dorm supervisors and caretakers, as well as organizing records for each dorm.
  3. Office of Maintenance and Services: This office offers maintenance and service on all appliances, furniture, and electrical equipment in all dorm departments. The office staff conducts regular inspections on equipment, tools, and machinery in the all dorms.
  4. Office Psycho-Educational Counseling: This office is responsible for addressing students' psychological, social, and behavioral problems, assisting and guiding them to develop their self-capabilities.


Media Office:

This office is under the supervision of the Director of Dorm Affairs, it publicizes news updates about all department program activities. The media team also supervises and sponsors the welcome program for students at the beginning of the academic year.


Monitoring Office:

Overseen by the dorms Affairs director, this office staff is mandated to regularly visit the dorms complexes, watch the performance of dorms supervisors, audit supervisors' records, and monitor maintenance activities.
